Optosensing’s fiber optics security systems can be used to effectively protect the photovoltaic farm against theft attempts of the panels.

In fact, by installing the sensing fiber as a chain linking solar panels, any attempt to sabotage the park generates a change in the optical signal conveyed through the fiber so that the alarm associated with the specific monitoring line area under attack is triggered.

The possibility to install up to 4 separate monitoring lines connected to each of the FOSS systems (each with maximum coverage length of 200 m) allows the system to ensure the protection of also significantly extended photovoltaic parks, for a total length of about 800 m, corresponding to the protection of several hundreds of panels.​
